Spotlight: Digsby
Since I have several different email and Instant Message (IM) accounts with Yahoo, MSN, and Google, I had to keep several different IM clients running so I can keep in touch with my friends and family. Sometimes that became a pain in my backside to have them all running at once using up memory and resources on my computer.
So I did some searches online and I came across something called Digsby. Digsby claimed to be a multiprotocol IM client that would let me chat with my friends and family on MSN, Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, Google Talk, and Jabber. After reading more about it on their website Digsby offers even more that just a multiprotocol IM client, Digsby can even help you keep track of your emails as well all in the same little program. This excited me even more and I did not waste anymore time reading and got right into downloading Digsby.

The download went pretty fast and I got it installed on my Dell XPS laptop with Vista on it without any problems. I added a few of my accounts and after just a few minutes I was up and running with Digsby. I was able to chat with my friends on MSN and Yahoo at the same time with ease.
Not only was I able to chat with my friends that are on different network, but Digsby also kept me informed of when I got new emails from my different accounts as well. Digsby also keeps you in touch with your online social network as well; you can get updates for your MySpace, Twitter, and other social networks as well. It will let you know when you have new friend requests, group invites, and other important updates as well.
Now of course you will not get all the features you get from the full Yahoo Messenger or MSN messenger programs, but if you want all your IM accounts in one nice little program, Digsby is a good choice.
